Hometown Heroes
Professional Men's Basketball
Hometown Heroes is an annual community-engaged event Jump Beyond hosts inviting current and former NBA players and coaches to our gym. These players and coaches work with local youth basketball players each August. Last year, for the first annual Hometown Heroes event, we had the following guests:
- Tracy Murray, former NBA player and current UCLA Sports Network analyst
- Brandon Jennings, former NBA player
- Josh Christopher, current Huston Rocket shooting guard
- Baron Davis, former NBA all star and current studio analyst for the NBA on TNT
- DeMar DeRozan, current Chicago Bulls small forward
- James Harden, current Philadelphia 76ers point guard
- Andre Miller, former NBA player and Rookie of the Year (1999-2000)
- Paul Pierce, former NBA player, all star, and Hall of Fame inductee (2021)
- Trevor Ariza, current Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard
- Coach Ken Hunter, ELAC men's coach
StreetFive!
Professional men's and Women's Futsol
Professional Futsal is one of the fastest growing sports in the US. Jump Beyond is proud to house one of Los Angeles' professional futsal teams "StreetFive!" StreetFive! is a member of the American Futsal League (AFL), which is the only professional futsal league in the United States. 5 other teams are proud to be involved with the developing sport.
